Oil Purification Plants
GlobeCore Oil Purification Plants are used for the removal of free and dissolved water and solid contaminants from transformer oil.
Thermo-Vacuum treatment and the filtration system utilized in GlobeCore’s oil purification equipment, will increase the dielectric strength and insulating properties of transformer insulating oil. The units can reduce water content from 50 ppm down to 5 ppm in a single pass and can remove 99.9 % of particles larger than 5 microns.
GlobeCore Purification Plants are designed to operate in workshops, storage tanks or directly on energized or de-energized transformers in remote locations. GlobeCore offers a variety of flow rates from 160 liters per hour (L.P.H.) to 4000 L.P.H.and can “custom build” units in a variety of configurations to meet your needs (trolley or trailer mounted, explosion proof, with PLC and moisture probes, etc.).
The GlobeCore CMM 4 Mobile Oil Purification Plant is mounted on a durable, roadworthy trailer with torsion suspension and “Off Road” capabilities. It has the appropriate reflectors and tail/brake lights to make the trailer “Street Legal” in all jurisdictions world wide and is capable of being towed at speeds of up to 100km/h/60 M.P.H. The system components and controls are enclosed with water proof metal covers (protection class IP45) and the trailer has a four (4) post leveling and stabilizing system to secure the plant in stationary position while in operation. Maximum noise level emitted by the CMM 4 Unit is below 80 db.
The GlobeCore CMM 4 unit has a processing capacity of between 1,000 L.P.H. and 4,000 L.P.H. allowing the CMM 4 to process up to 96,000 liters of transformer oil per day and provide:
- Removal of Water from 100 ppm down to 10 ppm and from 50 ppm to 5 ppm in a single pass and down to 3 ppm after 3 passes (ASTM method D-1533);
- Reduction of Gas content from fully saturated with air (10 to 12% by volume) to less than 0.1 % (ASTM D-2945);
- Removal of Particulate Matter to 5 microns;
- Improvement in dielectric strength up to 80 kV.
